Arsenal to play FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the champions league stages

The reigning European champions faces a tricky draw against the gunners in the last 16 stages of the 2015/2016 Uefa champions league season.

Luis Enrique's Barcelona was drawn against Arsene Wenger's side Arsenal during the champions league knockout stage draw held in Nyon on Monday. The Catalans hold an amazing record against their opponent having beaten them on two occasions  at the same stage of the Uefa champions league.

However, Barcelona's recent form in the Spanish domestic league have invited questions as to if they can still defend the treble they won just a few months ago.

On the other hand, the Gunners look more shaky as they face another though counterpart which could eventually prevent them from reaching the quarter finals of this years champions league. In the quest of making the next round, both teams will have to deploy their best tactics to overcome the other which outcome remains unpredictable.

FC Barcelona are current leaders of the Spanish La Liga whiles Arsenal's faith depends heavily on the outcome of impressive Leicester city and Chelsea FC match to either remain on top or drop to second place of the English Premier league table.

The Emirates Stadium will host FC Barcelona on the 23rd February 2016 for the first leg fixtures and second leg 16th March 2016 in Camp Nou, Spain
